Dr. Marco Reiche has joined the UGT team in April 2017 as head office manager. He studied aquaculture and limnoecology at Humboldt University Berlin and graduated as agrarian engineer and master of science. Then, he became a microbiologist in the field of aquatic geomicrobiology at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. His work was focused on the investigation of microbial mineralization processes in an acidic fen, pelagic boundary conditions in an acidic coal mining lake, and the biological formation of iron-rich particles (iron snow) induced by microbial communities.
Dr. Marco Reiche has started his business career as a director of R&D in a company dealing with cooling water treatment technologies in Düsseldorf. Afterwards, he worked as a development engineer in the context of water treatment technologies in a company located in the Black Forest. Before he switched to UGT he was a biological and technical consultant for an investment family office near Frankfurt Main.
